Dr Fred Amankwah-Sarfo is an experienced business development expert with demonstrated record of working in the information technology service industry. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Systems, MBA in Management Information Systems and BSc in Business Administration degrees from University of Ghana. He has over 25 years of experience in IT training services for private and public sector organizations and 6 years academic research. Fred has several years of managerial experience. He was the chief operations officer and business development manager at Mass Telecommunications Innovation (MTI) Ghana Ltd, where he developed strategic plans and coordinated implementation to meet service level agreements with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Prior to that, Fred was a business development manager at Ghana India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT, the premier Advanced Information Technology Institute in Ghana. At Kofi Annan ICT centre, he organised ICT training programs, capacity building seminars, consultancy services and digital business portfolios. He also developed and implemented business growth strategy which led to financial gains and client satisfaction. Fred is a member of Association for Information Systems and The Internet Society. He plays leadership roles and serve on committees. He was the President of Doctoral Researchers Association, a member of University of Ghana Council, UGBS Doctoral Development and Procurement Entity Committees. In 2018, Fred was the team lead and convener of the maiden University of Ghana Doctoral Forum. The forum discussed and offered recommendations for improvement in PhD training in Ghana. His research papers are published in American Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS), and IFIP 8.6 conference proceedings, information systems journal and book chapters.
